Pricing & Booking
How does pricing work?
No booking fee. Cadets and Cadet Squad: $499, up to 3,000 paintballs. Cadet Platoon: $599, up to 4,500 paintballs. Paint is a guide, not a hard cutoff — if the group's having a great time, we're not going to stop them right on the number.
What age groups do you cater for?
8-10 year olds play our Cadets game on lighter GOG markers with small air tanks. 11-13 year olds play Cadet Squad or Cadet Platoon on FT-12 markers with large tanks — same gun our adult groups use, just smaller-calibre paint.
What group sizes do you run?
Cadets (8-10yo): up to 10 players, one flat game. Cadet Squad (11-13yo): 5-8 players. Cadet Platoon (11-13yo): 9-12 players. For a bigger group — say, an end-of-year team party — get in touch, we can arrange something for 13+ players as a special booking.
Can we book a Saturday in December?
We don't run kids games on Saturdays in December — our busiest adult season means we keep weekends focused on full-size bookings during that period. Weekdays and Sundays are open as normal.
Is there a winter discount?
Yes — $50 off either game during our winter season.
What To Expect
What can we expect from the session?
Games start fully loaded with a full air tank, and top up between rounds rather than stopping mid-game — so nobody's left standing around waiting for a refill. Our referees run a mix of games across both fields, tailored to the group's age and confidence.
How long does a session run?
Around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours, including a full safety briefing.
What should my child wear?
Sturdy footwear is a must. Loose, comfortable clothing they don't mind getting muddy — we provide a camo cover shirt, and overalls if you'd like them.
What do we need to bring?
Sturdy footwear, a water bottle, and any medication needed. On a cold or wet day, bring a jacket and a towel.
Does the paint wash out?
Yes, easily — for porous fabrics a whitener may help.
Can I join my kids' game?
Absolutely — plenty of parents love jumping in, and an attack-and-defend against Mum or Dad is always a hit. You'll be charged the same kids' rate if you play.
Policies & Facilities
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel 72+ hours ahead for a full refund. Reschedules need 24+ hours' notice, can be moved up to a year out, and are limited to twice a year — each reschedule adds $50 to your deposit.
What happens in bad weather?
We play through most weather. If you'd rather reschedule, let us know at least 3 hours before your booking — same reschedule terms as above apply.
Do you take photos?
Our staff grab photos and video where they can — we know how much parents want these! We can't guarantee full coverage, so feel free to bring your own camera too.
Where are you located?
Eastern Hutt Rd, Pomare, Lower Hutt — opposite Pomare Train Station, above the car park.
What facilities do you have?
A ready-room for briefings, a covered area for food afterward, and a port-a-loo on site year-round. We're on reserve land with no plumbed facilities, so bring cups, serviettes and hand sanitiser if you're eating after.
